Nikos Trikoupis investigated the benefits of using Intel’s DC3700 PCIe NVMe Flash Storage for in-memory databases. Twelve Intel DC3700s each with 2 TBytes of memory were integrated with an SGI UV300 distributed shared memory system having 12 Tbytes of memory and operating under a single OS image. His analysis showed excellent near-linear performance using various file system implementations. The results are presented in a paper downloadable from http://cunyhpc.csi.cuny.edu/publications/CUNYHPC-P3700-UV300.pdf
